The Saint Lucia Academy of Science, Technology, and the Arts will contribute to national development in a very practical and meaningful way. The Academy will:

• Conduct independent scientific research and collaborate with a network of worldwide national academies, to provide government and non-governmental agencies with evidence based research
  on important issues of national development.

• Provide a nurturing environment to motivate and inspire young nationals to pursue careers in science, technology, and arts including the humanities.

• Promote the establishment of an ecosystem to attract international business start-ups,
  promote research and development , and facilitate business growth in collaboration
  with world-class academia and research institutions.

• Recognize and honor outstanding works of Saint Lucians in the fields of science, technology,
  and the arts, as credible inductees into the Academy.
